What is the Utah Valley Civic Ballet Company (UVCBC)?

The intent of this company is to bring dedicated ballet dancers together once a week to rehearse and perform as a group. This is somewhat unique to the area in that the dancers in the company get their technique and training from different teachers during the week and then unite to express themselves as a company on Fridays. The company has been quite successful with this type of organization, and teachers have been very cooperative.

Requirements for company membership:

  • 10 hours of service or $100 (we’d rather have your service)
  • 2 Ads for program or website only or 1 ad for both; needs to total $100.
  • Participation in one other fund raiser
  • 90% attendance
Be PROMPT for pick-up. Directors leave at 6:30 PM.

& Updates:

~Audition Information: Saturday, August 28th, 2010 1:00-3:00PM at SBA in Lindon. $10 audition fee. All previous company members must attend this audition, unless you attended the June one.

TIMES

Company Rehearsals Begin:
~Friday, September 3rd 
4:00-6:30PM for
Senior Company & Soloists
~Friday, September 10th  
4:00-6:30PM for Junior/Intermediates Company

      Seniors and Soloists:
weekly attendance required for technique/variations class
(separate fee for 1 extra
hour due to SBA)
from 4:00-5:00PM,
prior to Company Rehearsal
from 5:00-6:30PM.

Junior/Intermediates:
attend every other week and are required to take a
technique/variations class
from 4:00-5:00PM the weeks
they have rehearsal
(separate fee for a half
an hour class due to SBA. 
The class last an hour,
but since they only attend
every other week, you
pay for a half an hour class). 
Rehearsal from 5:00-6:30PM
is 2nd and 4th weeks
in September and October,
and then 1st & 3rd weeks
in November and December}
