Dear SBA Students & Families... Here's the Weekly Update

Thanks to all of you that supported the ballet company in their Tuesday evening performance. They did an awesome job, despite the lighting board problems during the latter section of the performance.

It was great to have so many SBA students present to see The Utah Valley Civic Ballet Company perform, as well as participate in the SBA awards ceremony. We wished all of you could have been there, but we also realize this a very busy time of the year.

Those that were unable to attend, will receive their award envelope at rehearsals this weekend or in their class next week.

Dress Rehearsal for June 7th's performance will be Tomorrow, Friday May 30th at the Pointe. Dress rehearsal for, June 9th performance will be this Saturday, May 31st, also at the pointe. Please check the attachment for your classes rehearsal time.

At the rehearsals look for ticket exchange box, award envelopes, photo preview (you can still order portraits by GW Photography, and if you've already purchased you can chose the pose you'd like in your package), and lunch payment envelopes.

There is only an hour break for the older dancers between performances on the 7th and 9th, so were trying to provide a quick, yet nutrition option for the dancers. Dancers of all ages are invited to be involved, but dancers under 6 must have a parent superivsing them. Lunch/Dinner will be served in Conference room 206C. Currently we do not have enough participants to have the meals catered. Please email me by 12:00 noon on Friday, if you'd like this service. Bring your $5/meal payment to either rehearsal this weekend. If there is not enough interest we will cancel. We will be sure to let you know the outcome, so you can make another plan for meals. PLEASE EMAIL BY NOON FRIDAY IF YOU ARE INTERESTED. [Pizza one day and box lunches another day.]

All classes will be held next week, except for late night Advanced 2 classes and Wednesday 'My Happy Pre-school' Music & Movement Class. The Dress Rehearsal at UVSC Ragan theater will be held on Friday, June 6th. See attachment for your classes time. There are more free tickets available for all performances. Take what you need.

Thanks for all your support. We are so appreciative to all of those that assist us in our endeavors. I am especially grateful to Gary Whitehead for the continual improvements made on the studio and for his willingness to be our photographer. He has spent many hours sharing his expertise with us. I'd also want to be sure to acknowledge all the preparatory work that Stephanie Scott did in presenting these productions. She has spent endless hours reviewing every little aspect of the performances. She has been amazing. Kim Scott has also spent endless hours dealing with the books and tax preparation, as well as assisting in producing Peter Pan. A Special thanks to all of you for your valuable services! There will be a special edition of the newsletter highlighting all those behind the scenes superstars.
