Click on the questions below to see the answers.

A:  We have an itemized class chart to help you see what your dancer will be doing. Or you can click here for the recital schedule, If you still have questions, please email or
call Earlet's Cell @ 358-3920.

A. The Pointe is 55 N 1400 W in Lindon. Click here to see a map.

Q. Is my child a younger, older or oldest performer?
A. In many of the announcements, the dancers are grouped as younger, older, or oldest. The younger dancers are Pre-Ballet, Pre-Primary, & Primary. The older dancers are Grade 2 - Grade 4. The oldest dancers are Grade 5 & up.

A: Ragan Theatre is in the Student Center at UVSC. Click here for a MAP of UVSC.

Q. Where in the Student Center is the Ragan Theatre?
A. Click here for a map of the Student Center.

Q: What about parking at UVSC?
A: Park in Visitor Parking Pay Lot L in front of the Student Center on the north side for quick drop-offs. The first 15 minutes are free. The lot is also free after hours (M - Th after 10pm, Fri. after 5pm). If no attendee is in the pay booth, you may exit without charge. You may park free in Lot N (just north and to the left of Lot L, behind the cement partitions) with an UVSC/SBA parking pass if you are staying longer than 15 minutes. Click here for a map.

Q. My child still doesn't have a costume, when will we get it?
A. Your child has been given a performance leotard which is to be worn at the rehearsals and performance. Your child is to keep these leotards, please don't lose them or damage them. They will be used next year as their class leotard and for exams. If your child loses or damages the leotard, you will have to purchase a replacement. The rest of the costume will be at the Ragan Theatre and kept with the School of Ballet Arts until after the recital to help keep them clean and from becoming lost. Have your child show up to both the
dress rehearsal and recital wearing their class leotard and light pink or white tights (this is for lighting purposes). Also, have your child's hair in a bun or neatly pulled back if not long enough for a bun. Please label all personal belongings with your child's first and last name, especially bags, warm up clothes, leotards, ballet shoes, tap shoes, street shoes, change of clothes, and water bottles.

Q. My child wasn't given the entire costume she wore on stage, where is the rest of it?
A. The accessories of your child's costume (head pieces, some tutus, and other embellishments) belong to the School of Ballet Arts. We reuse these pieces year after year and it helps us keep costs down.

Q. What does my child wear to the recital?
A.
Have your child show up to both the dress rehearsal and recital wearing their class leotard and light pink or white tights (this is for lighting purposes). Also, have your child's hair in a bun or neatly pulled back if not long enough for a bun. Please label all personal belongings with your child's first and last name, especially bags, warm up clothes, leotards, ballet shoes, tap shoes, and water bottles. It is hard to keep track of so many individual bags and shoes, etc. and properly labeled items helps to greatly reduce the confusion.

Q. How do I do a ballet bun?
A. Click here for instructions on making a proper ballet bun.

Q. What will happen to my child during the ballet while she is not performing?
A. Your child will be backstage in a classroom with her ballet class. The class mom and class assistants will bring activities and videos to keep your child entertained. The younger performers will receive their awards after the first performance. During the second performance, they will be dismissed early to sit with their families to watch the rest of the program or to go home.
If you can help in your child's class during one of the performances, please email or call Earlet (358-3920).

Q. What else can you tell me that will help the recital process go smoothly?
A. See the list below:

  • Have your child bring her own water bottle with her full name on it. It is very hot backstage and we don't your little one to become dehydrated.
  • Please send a healthy snack with your child. Due to severe food allergies of some of our students, no peanuts or peanut butter snacks are allowed (these are life threatening allergies, so please respect this request). Also, feed them a good lunch and dinner before the performances.
  • Label all of your child's items with first and last name to help prevent lose of belongings.
  • Remember, SBA does not allow seats to be saved unreasonably early. You can't leave items (or persons) on seats, depart and return later to claim the best seats. Ragan Theatre is a small theater and their really isn't a bad seat in the house.

Q. Has my child been scheduled to get pictures?
A. GW Photography has taken grouped pictures - you can reach Mr. Whitehead at 221-1925.

Q. I heard that there will be a DVD for sale of the performance, how can I order one?
A. TBA

Q. I still have questions about the recital, can some one help me?
A. Please email or call Earlet @ 358-3920.
