Moms are fundamental to the School of Ballet Arts. Her responsibilities include: Run
the class store. Students earn "Ballet Bucks" for class participation.
Every few months small trinkets (stickers, costume jewelry, etc.) can be obtained
by trading in their saved "Ballet Bucks".
Help
with costume measurement and fittings.
Attend
a monthly meeting to learn about the year-end Recital/Performance. The main purposes
of this meeting is to help Class Moms become familiar with dance numbers, music,
costumes, and other special needs that may arise.
Help
keep parents informed of class news and be available to answer their questions.
Attend
rehearsals to supervise the students and ready them for their dance numbers (this
will also help prepare you for working backstage during the actual Performance/Recital).
Help
backstage during the Performance/Recital making sure necessary costume changes
occur, getting students backstage on time and providing activities/entertainment
for the children between dance numbers.
Each
class should have two moms to share the responsibilities.
We are having a shortage and need more volunteers.
Without Class Moms the quality and efficiency of the recital suffers. We can't
explain with words how much we need your help!In return, Class Mom's are
rewarded with $5.00 tuition break. For example, if you fulfill your Class Mom
responsibilities in September, you will receive $5.00 off in October. Class Moms
also receive ample knee hugs and warm fuzzy feelings for their efforts. If this
is something you can commit to, please contact Earlet @ 358-3920 / email.
